On Monday, 12 November 2018 at 13.15 hours at Library 1918 Room, Dusit Thani Hotel, Bangkok, Hon. Ms. Ewa Thalen Finne, former 1stDeputy Speaker of the Swedish Parliamentas President of the WSPU, chairs the WSPU Executive CommitteeMeetingwith Hon. Mr. Thamrong Dasananjali, Member of the National Legislative Assembly of Thailand as 1stVice-President of theWSPU, and members of Canada, Oman, Tunisia, and South Korea attending the meeting. In this regard, Mr. Preecha Vajrabhaya, Member of the National Legislative Committee is invited to participate in the meeting as an observer.

In this connection, the agenda of the meeting aboutimportant WSPU implementation and the preparation of the 9thWSPU General Assembly hosted by Thailand are considered and new members of the Executive Committee including its honorary positions are introduced in the meeting. Hon. Dr. Thamrong Dasananjali has the honour of being the incoming President of the WSPU and will be the chair of the 9thWSPU General Assembly.

 In addition, a draftprogram and a meeting agenda are approved, and 2 working groups are appointed by the meeting to draft the reports on the 9thWSPU General Assembly, and Bangkok Declaration on Roles of the Parliament in Supporting Scout Movement towards SDGs Achievement which will produce the desired outcome of the meeting. Finally, the Republic of Korea is approved of hosting the 10thWSPU General Assembly in 2022.
